Alana Monique Beard - Basketball Player
I am resilient
Because when life has thrown me curve balls, I have had and will always have two choices to either give up or fight. I have chosen and will choose to fight every single time ... I know no other way.
My Story
My body is a powerhouse—full of strength, energy and potential. I may be an athlete by profession, but I’m 100% woman—and I’ve got the wardrobe and heels to prove it. Basketball is not just a sport for me, it’s a way of life. I’m versatile—feeling as pretty dressed up as I do dressed down. But when it comes to my favorite products (like my cocoa butter body lotion), I am loyal to the core. When I’ve gotten injured or on those challenging days, I’ll hit the gym, extra-hard… it makes me feel like I am in control of my own destiny. My family has shown me unconditional love and support, in the good times and the bad. Whether on or off the court, they’re always there, by my side, cheering me on.
Step 1: Moisturizer

Begin with Hydrating Eye Cream and Hydrating Gel Cream to infuse skin with an immediate burst of freshness while also ensuring your concealer and foundation apply smoothly.

Step 2: Corrector & Concealer

Using a Concealer Brush, brighten under eye darkness with Almond Creamy Concealer for a wide-awake look; gently pat it with your fingers to blend it into skin.

Step 3: Foundation

Use your fingers or a makeup sponge to spot-apply Warm Almond Skin Foundation SPF 15 on uneven areas of skin or where there is redness (usually around the nose and mouth).

For full, yet natural-looking coverage, use a Foundation Brush to apply and blend foundation.

Step 4: Powder

Ensure the staying power of your concealer and foundation with a light dusting of Sheer Finish Pressed Powder.

Use an Eye Blender Brush or Mini Powder Puff to apply Pale Yellow to the under eye area, and a Powder Brush to apply Basic Brown to the rest of the face.

Step 5: Bronzer & Blush

Add a warm, healthy tint to your cheeks, forehead, nose, chin and neck with Bahama Illuminating Bronzing Powder using the Bronzer Brush.

Alana has a pretty peach-colored undertone to her skin, so Bobbi played it up with Apricot Blush on the apples of cheeks and swept it out towards her temples with a Blush Brush.

Bobbi Tip: “For the most balanced look, choose cheek and lip shades in the same color family.”

Step 6: Lipstick & Liner

Bobbi went with neutral lips to balance Alana’s more dramatic eye look; she used Rose Blossom Rich Lip Color SPF 12 and then added Nougat Lip Gloss for a pretty, shiny finish.

Step 7: Brows

To create perfectly-polished brows, Bobbi followed Alana’s natural shape with Espresso Eye Shadow using an Eye Brow Brush.

Step 8: Eye Shadow

Bobbi highlighted Alana’s beautiful almond-shaped eyes with Black Pearl Metallic Long-Wear Cream Shadow all over the lid using a Cream Shadow Brush; then she added a layer of Black Plum Shimmer Eye Shadow on top with an Eye Smudge Brush for a multi-dimensional effect.

Step 9: Eye Liner

Using an Ultra Fine Eye Liner Brush, Bobbi applied Black Ink Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner along Alana’s upper lashline.

Step 10: Mascara

Bobbi finished with Black Extreme Party Mascara to make Alana’s eyes pop.
