Jeanette Golson - Aspiring Fashion Stylist
I am resilient
Because no matter what obstacles I've had thrown at me throughout my life I've managed to overcome them. Above all, I've inspired young children in my life to follow their dreams and not to become victims of their circumstances.
My Story
I dress to impress. I have a signature sense of style and am attempting to make a career out of it, although I consider myself a ‘jack of all trades’ because I can do anything I put my mind to. My exterior might say tomboy since I can often be found in jeans and sneakers, but put some makeup on me and watch my inner girly-girl emerge. I know I’m pretty, even though I’ve had my moments when I haven’t always felt that way. I’m just getting more in touch with my feminine side and I feel totally transformed in a dress. Maybe heels are right around the corner?
Step 1: Moisturizer

Begin with Hydrating Eye Cream and Hydrating Face Cream to infuse skin with an immediate burst of freshness while also ensuring your concealer and foundation apply smoothly.

Step 2: Corrector & Concealer

Using a Concealer Brush, brighten under eye darkness and neutralize any discoloration with Dark Peach Corrector for a wide-awake look; gently pat it with your fingers to blend it into skin.

Follow with Almond Creamy Concealer; apply it as close to the lashline as possible, focusing on the innermost corner of the eye; blend again with fingertips.

Step 3: Foundation

Use your fingers or a makeup sponge to spot-apply Warm Almond SPF 15 Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free all over the face.

For additional coverage on uneven areas of skin or where there is redness (usually around the nose and mouth), try Face Touch Up Stick in the shade that matches your natural skin tone.

Step 4: Powder

Ensure the staying power of your concealer and tinted moisturizer with a light dusting of Sheer Finish Pressed Powder.

Use an Eye Blender Brush or Mini Powder Puff to apply Pale Yellow to the under eye area, and a Powder Brush to apply Basic Brown to the rest of the face.

Step 5: Bronzer & Blush

Flame Shimmer Blush has the slightest bit of sheen to reveal Jeanette’s natural radiance; sweep it onto the apples of cheeks and blend up toward the hairline, then down to soften any edges.

Step 6: Lipstick & Liner

Bobbi made Jeanette’s lips pop with Pink Lilac Brightening Lip Gloss.

Bobbi Tip: “If you have lips that are uneven in color, play up the difference—it’s a beautiful thing.”

Step 7: Brows

Jeanette’s minimalist eye look started with Mahogany Eye Shadow applied on the brows with an Eye Brow Brush.

Step 8: Eye Shadow

To play up her pretty brown eyes, Bobbi applied Bone Eye Shadow as a base color and then swiped Cocoa Eye Shadow on top for added dimension using an Eye Shadow Brush.

Step 9: Eye Liner

To keep Jeanette’s look understated, Bobbi used an Eye Definer Brush to apply Charcoal Eye Shadow along her lashline, which creates a softer look than a traditional pencil liner.

Step 10: Mascara

Try 2 to 3 coats of Black Extreme Party Mascara for a final eye-opening effect.
