Mary Alice Williams - Broadcast Journalist/College Professor
I am powerful
Because I am happy with who I am ... a 60-something exhausted over-achiever.
My Story
I see the glass as half-full. It’s my stubborn, sturdy optimism that is the driving force behind everything that I do. I always look for the best in people and situations and believe there’s a lesson to be found in every experience. When I was 8 years old, I had an idea about connecting people by introducing them to other cultures, civilizations and beliefs. This simple concept went on to change the world, turning into one of the most important television networks on-air: CNN, of which I was one of the creators. But whether you’re responsible for something as small as a home-cooked meal, or as large as a multi-million dollar business empire, don’t be afraid to take on the challenge.
Step 1: Moisturizer

Begin with Hydrating Eye Cream and Hydrating Face Cream to infuse skin with an immediate burst of freshness while also ensuring your concealer and foundation apply smoothly.

Step 2: Corrector & Concealer

Using a Concealer Brush, brighten under eye darkness and neutralize any discoloration with Porcelain Peach Corrector for a wide-awake look; gently pat it with your fingers to blend it into skin.

Follow with Warm Beige Creamy Concealer; apply it as close to the lashline as possible, focusing on the innermost corner of the eye; blend again with fingertips.

Step 3: Foundation

Use your fingers or a makeup sponge to spot-apply Warm Beige Extra Repair Foundation SPF 25 on uneven areas of skin or where there is redness (usually around the nose and mouth).

For full, yet natural-looking coverage, use a Foundation Brush to apply and blend foundation.

Step 4: Powder

Ensure the staying power of your concealer and foundation with a light dusting of Pale Yellow Sheer Finish Pressed Powder.

Use an Eye Blender Brush or Mini Powder Puff to apply powder to the under eye area, and a Powder Brush to apply powder to the rest of the face.

Step 5: Bronzer & Blush

Add a warm, healthy tint to your cheeks, forehead, nose, chin and neck with Medium Bronzing Powder using the Bronzer Brush. Bobbi chose Pale Pink Blush to give Mary Alice’s fair complexion a healthy flush.

Step 6: Lipstick & Liner

To bring out the beautiful color in Mary Alice’s lips, Hot High Shimmer Lip Gloss yielded just the right tint.

Step 7: Brows

Mary Alice’s head-turning eyes were framed by perfectly arched eyebrows using Clear Natural Brow Shaper.

Step 8: Eye Shadow

Keeping in mind her lighter skin tone, Bobbi applied Ivory Eye Shadow as a base shade with an Eye Shader Brush and then layered Cement Eye Shadow on Mary Alice’s lid from the crease to the lashline with an Eye Sweep Brush.

Step 9: Eye Liner

After lining Mary Alice’s upper lashline with Cobalt Ink Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner, Bobbi used Slate Eye Shadow on the lower lashline.

Bobbi Tip: “Keep liner on the lower lashline soft and subtle with powder shadow.”

Step 10: Mascara

Bobbi picked Black Extreme Party Mascara to lengthen and define Mary Alice’s lighter-colored lashes.
